My Story

Janice Turner, is a retired Army Sergeant Major with thirty years of distinguished service. After hanging up her rucksack for a backpack in 2010, she transitioned from military life to embrace her passion for storytelling . Now residing in sunny Florida, Janice holds an MBA and is currently pursuing a BA in Creative Writing, leveraging her education to craft engaging narratives that explore the complexities of life in the military.

Her upcoming book, "The Dark Side of Serving," is a gripping work that delves into the often-overlooked experiences and challenges faced by service members during and after their military careers. This compelling narrative falls within the genres of military fiction and contemporary drama, targeting a diverse audience that includes military veterans, active-duty personnel, and civilians alike who seek a deeper understanding of the psychological and emotional costs of service.

"The Dark Side of Serving" is aimed at readers aged 18 and older, dealing with themes of resilience, camaraderie, and the haunting shadows of duty.
